How your information is used
Everything above is used to run the marketplace: to verify clips, calculate earnings, release payouts, keep campaign chats safe and answer questions. We do not build advertising profiles, we do not sell data, and we do not pass creator details to brands beyond what a campaign needs.
- Brands see the creator name, handle and clip link attached to submissions on their own campaign. They never see your email address, phone number or payout details.
- Some details are public by design. The leaderboard shows creators' names, handles, photos, views counted and total earnings, and each campaign page lists the clips it has paid for with the creator's name, photo, views and the amount paid.
- Site-wide figures, such as total views verified or total paid to creators, are published as totals without naming anyone.
- We may use your email address to tell you about a payout, a rejected clip or a change to these terms. Marketing email is separate and optional.
- Campaign chat messages are checked automatically for contact details, offers to pay outside beemore, traded views and abuse. A blocked message is not posted and earns a warning, and repeated warnings can restrict your chat.
- A person reviews every clip, and every suspension or ban is decided by a person.
Emails we send
Emails from beemore, such as a password reset link, go out through the email service built into the platform that hosts the site. When you write to us on the contact page, your message reaches the team by email through the same service, and our reply comes to you by email.
- That email service records whether each email was opened and which links in it were clicked. An open is counted by a tiny invisible image in the email, and a click by sending the link through a tracking address on its way to the page it points to.
- The link inside a password reset email is never tracked, because it carries a private code that only you should use.
- If a password reset email cannot be sent, a member of the team may send you the link on WhatsApp instead, to the phone number on your account.
- Opens are approximate. Some mail apps load images on their own and others block them, so an open is never treated as proof that you read an email.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
Data is held on managed infrastructure with encrypted connections and encrypted storage. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and can never be read back, including by us. Access to payout details is limited to the payments desk and is logged.
- Transfers outside your own country happen where our infrastructure or a payment partner sits elsewhere, under contractual safeguards.
- Staff accounts use individual logins. Nobody shares a set of credentials.
- We ask for analytics screenshots rather than access to your social accounts. beemore never asks for your social media password.
- Files you upload, such as a profile photo, a logo, campaign pictures and videos, or a file attached in a chat, are stored as public files. Anyone who has the link to a file can open it, so do not upload anything you would not want seen.
- If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant regulator without undue delay.
How long it is kept
Retention is set by what the record is for. Operational data is deleted when the account closes. Financial records are kept for seven years because money movement in Zambia must be auditable for that period. The table above lists the period that applies to each type.
- Closing your account removes your profile from the platform and stops all processing that is not legally required.
- Clip links and verified view counts stay attached to the payment record even after an account closes, because they are the evidence for a payment made.
- Contact messages are deleted two years after the last reply.
- Records of the emails we send, including whether they were opened and which links were clicked, are deleted after 30 days.
- Backups are rotated, so deleted data can persist in a backup for a short period before it is overwritten.
Children
beemore is not for anyone under 18. Accounts are opened on the basis that the holder is an adult who can be paid in their own name. If we learn that an account belongs to a child, we close it and delete the personal data attached to it.
- Campaign briefs must not ask creators to target children.
- If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will act on it.
Changes to this notice
This notice changes when the product does. Material changes, such as a new category of data or a new type of processor, are announced in the product before they take effect rather than quietly published here.
- Minor wording changes are made without notice.
- Continuing to use the account after a material change accepts the updated notice.
